Jessica Weizenbluth- Founder & Principal Attorney

Jessica Weizenbluth is the founder of HealthWise Legal, APC, where she combines a deep understanding of the healthcare regulatory framework with a practical, business-minded approach to help healthcare businesses, providers and entrepreneurs navigate complex legal issues.

Jessica advises clients throughout the lifecycle of their businesses, from formation and structuring through growth, transactions, and regulatory challenges. Her corporate work includes incorporation, mergers and acquisitions, MSO-professional entity structures, employment and independent contractor relationships, and other healthcare business transactions and agreements.

Jessica has an extensive background in healthcare regulatory compliance and focuses a large part of her practice advising on Federal Anti-Kickback Statute and corresponding state laws, the Stark Law, corporate practice of medicine restrictions, Medicare and Medicaid (Medi-Cal), HIPAA and healthcare data privacy, healthcare entity licensing, and other federal and state healthcare laws. Jessica regularly represents healthcare providers in connection with government and payor audits, investigations, overpayment and suspension appeals and other reimbursement matters. She also advises on emerging healthcare trends like telehealth and concierge practices, peptide and weight loss therapy, and the use of AI in healthcare. Her work often involves helping clients determine how a new business concept can be structured within an existing regulatory framework without losing sight of the commercial objectives behind the business.

With a background in biomedical ethics and over a decade of experience advising healthcare businesses, Jessica approaches her clients with an understanding that regulatory compliance and business strategy cannot be considered in isolation. Her goal is not simply to identify what a client cannot do, but to help clients understand their options and find a practical path forward.

Sarah P.- Legal Operations Manager and Paralegal

Sarah brings more than a decade of experience in the legal field, with a background in legal operations, litigation, corporate matters, and law firm administration. Her experience spans both law firm and in-house environments and includes case management, corporate transactions, legal technology, and process improvement. This combination of substantive legal experience and legal operations knowledge allows Sarah to approach her work with an understanding of both the legal issues at hand and the systems and processes necessary to manage matters effectively.

At HealthWise Legal, Sarah plays a key role in supporting attorney work and ensuring the smooth operation of the firm’s day-to-day legal and administrative functions. Her responsibilities include managing client intake and communications, overseeing the preparation and revision of legal documents, coordinating routine corporate filings, managing client matters and deadlines, and developing and improving internal systems designed to provide clients with an efficient and responsive experience.

Sarah also brings experience in legal technology and an understanding of the evolving role of artificial intelligence in the legal industry to her work. She helps HealthWise Legal evaluate emerging technologies and develop thoughtful processes, allowing the firm to remain current with technological developments while maintaining the judgment, oversight, and individualized attention that are fundamental to the firm’s legal services.

Sarah brings an organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to her work. She works to keep complex matters moving forward, anticipate client and firm needs, and continually identify opportunities to improve how HealthWise Legal serves its clients.

Sarah earned her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
